Christmas Fair 2019
Author: Jules Bridger
This year's Christmas Fair is fast approaching, make sure you save the date and come along for a fun and Christmassy Day on the first Sunday of December from 11 am to 3 pm.
Our Christmas Fair, which has free entry, has seen hundreds possibly even a thousand people through our doors on one single day to come see stallholders far and wide bearing a wide variety of gifts.
There are over 60 stallholders this year at our fair, not only that we have a cafe that will serve Christmas themed foods, a stage which will host 3 different acts, a crafts area for children and we are working on having a grotto again. If you haven't been before most of our stallholders craft their items themselves, this makes a lot of unique items that are sold here in just one day. This year we currently have 3 halls opened to stallholders and to view them all we have a "one-way system" that leads you first to our Woodford Suite (8 stalls), then down the back stairs to the Long Room (18 stalls) and finally out the other end to the Main Hall (40+ stalls). The Cafe is in the Houghton Room (first double doors on your left) and the arts and crafts room can be accessed through the Main Hall. Also, we have a front and back car park for up to 130 cars which is free but we do ask please when possible to car share not only for car parking spaces but also we believe in becoming a more sustainable community centre.
We have an amazing response from stallholders and visitors every year, the fair is put on to help support our community centre during the difficult period of winter where bookings are low and the bills are at their highest and so we thank everyone and anyone who takes part.
